Have a look how this woman creates a full song by starting off with the beat and gradually adding instruments and her voice until it sounds like she has a whole band and background singers! And let's face it, it's a catchy tune.. Is it my imagination or does she sound a lot like Allanah Myles..there's some serious memories from my late teenager years! LOL!!!
The lyrics aren't mind blowing, but the rhythm makes up for that.

Pride & Prejudice - The Movie
Watched the movie Pride & Prejudice last night, and as the final titles scrolled by, I thought about the author, Jane Austen and imagined her putting this story together in her head and how she was influenced by things that she saw, like Wilton House in Salisbury. In her novel she describes Pemberley in such a way that it most likely was Wilton House.
It is such a beautiful story..the love scenes had me in tears. Particularly these two:
The first where Mr.Darcy declares his love..
and then this last scene..
The soundtrack is amazing.
The soundtrack was composed by Dario Marianelli and performed by Jean-Yves Thibaudet and the English Chamber Orchestra. Marianelli received an Oscar nomination for Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures, Original Score and two World Soundtrack Academy nominations for "Best Original Soundtrack of the Year" and "Soundtrack Composer of the Year".
This is a piece of the soundtrack music that is called "Darcy's Letter" and I love the first minute of it - it reminds me of a similar piece heard in the movie "Great Expectations" where Finn (Ethan Hawke) runs in the rain to meet Estella (Gwyneth Paltrow)in the restaurant.

Mojito!
A mojito is traditionally made of five ingredients: rum, sugar (traditionally sugar cane juice), lime, carbonated water and mint[1]. Its combination of sweetness and refreshing citrus and mint flavors are intended to mask the potent kick of the rum, and have made this clear cocktail a popular summer drink. Many hotels in Havana also add Angostura bitters to cut the sweetness of the mojito; while a popular variation, it is not the original version created in La Bodeguita del Medio[1].
To make a Mojito, juice from a lime is added to sugar and mint leaves in a tall glass. The mixture is then gently mashed repeatedly with a muddler. Crushed ice is then added, followed by rum and topped off with club soda.
The word mojito is derived from the diminutive of the word mojo.[2]

There are countless recipes for the Mojito (pronounced moh-HEE-toh), but this version is for the one Hemingway himself enjoyed at the Mojito's place of birth:
Place the mint leaves into a long mojito glass and squeeze the juice from a cut lime over it. You'll want about two ounces of lime juice, so it may not require all of the juice from a single lime. Add the powdered sugar, then gently smash the mint into the lime juice and sugar with a muddler. Add ice (preferably crushed) then add the rum and stir, and top off with the club soda (you can also stir the club soda in as per your taste). Garnish with a mint sprig.

You Tube taught me. .
Now one new thing that I did learn recently, is the joys of You Tube. The first person who's video's I really enjoyed is Cory "Mr. Safety" Williams, he is SMPFILMS, and through him, the "Angry Aussie" - they recently met up in Melbourne, Australia for the YouTube Gathering and Angry Aussie taught Mr. Safety things about his country. Cory even says that many of his childhood dreams came true during the trip that he made to Australia. Cory tried new things and and through them met amazing people and made friends around the world.
Just to show you that trying new things can lead to wonderful adventures.
PS..Isn't Cory just soooooo HANDSOME..pity he is engaged..lucky her!

I actually printed that note and stuck it on my Computer monitor, because that is exactly what I need to do.
Then today I received a note that said:

And as usual I read it and went further reading my other mails and doing what I usually do in a working day.
But later in the morning I found this thought still bouncing around in my head.

Well actually that sounds amazing and that's exactly why this thought hit a nerve somewhere, because in the deepest part of my soul I yearn for exactly that! I keep on trying, doing and learning NEW things. I know that God has some destiny for me and I do not know what yet, so I figure all I can do, is to keep on trying new things, and in that way God is gently preparing me for exactly what He needs me to do. That is also why I love meeting new people. The diversity of people implies that they are unexplored mines of knowledge and things that can be learned, and usually they love telling and thus teaching other people about these things.
So. I will go on learning new things and my heartfelt appreciation for all the people that will spend time with me to teach me about the things that make them unique and special!
Immediately my thoughts go to rObC. When speaking about mines of knowledge he is a Platinum, Tanzanite, Diamond and Gold mine combined!!!

Two Talking Cats
Being the proud owner of two cats - I've always watched their interaction and the way they "speak" to each other.
